Richard Campbell

Director

Richard has over four decades of experience in the steel industry, starting out in 1976. Throughout his career, he has honed his expertise in heavy structural steel fabrication and has had the opportunity to gain valuable overseas experience in London. He has also spent 14 years in the mining machine manufacturing sector, where he developed extensive knowledge of hydraulic systems.

In 2003, Richard relocated to New Zealand, and in 2006, he started Sable Engineering. With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the steel industry, Richard brings a unique skill set and wealth of knowledge to Sable and its projects.

Michael Campbell

Operations Manager

Whilst completing a Bachelor of Business Studies, Majoring in Marketing and Management from 2011-2014, Michael worked for Sable Engineering part time as a labourer, Once completing his Business degree, Michaels passion for the industry lead him to Begin a Fabrication Apprenticeship in 2014. After Qualifying as a Fabricator/Welder in 2017, Michael has worked in various roles across the company from Estimating to Rigging and now to his most recent role of Operations Management. Michael is responsible for the overall coordination of the workshop and site activities ensuring that all tasks are completed as efficiently and as safely as possible, Michaels passion for the industry and efficiencies in the workplace has also seen him implement various systems across the company which has increased output and quality across all our operations.

In his spare time Michael likes to relax with his wife at the beach, go to the gym and play golf

Holly Sinton

Accounts Manager

Holly Sinton has been a part of Sable Engineering for over six years, joining the company in 2016. During her time at Sable Engineering, she has taken an active role in various areas of the business and has been instrumental in the implementation of efficient systems and the success of various projects.

With a background in accounting, Holly decided to pursue a career change after having children. She holds a Bachelor of Accounting degree, which she completed in 2015, and is currently an Associate member of the profession, working towards becoming a Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA).

In her free time, Holly enjoys playing social netball, going on bush walks, spending time with her family, reading, and gardening.

Shaun Campbell

Commercial Manager

Shaun joined Sable Engineering in October 2022 and brings over a decade of experience as a Quantity Surveyor to the team. Shaun spent 2 years as an estimator before moving to a Contract Administration/Post Contract role.

In 2019, Shaun began working for a developer, where he honed his skills in all aspects of Quantity Surveying, including estimating, contract administration, feasibility studies, budgeting, and bank funding. He has been involved in several hotel and apartment projects ranging from $15 million to $30 million.

With a broad understanding of the cost and contract aspects of construction, as well as an understanding of what it takes for a project to be successful, Shaun is well-equipped to help Sable provide the best possible service to its clients. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, participating in and watching sports, and spending time at the beach or on the golf course.

Erwin Panti

Detailing Manager

Erwin has been with Sable for 3 years and 10 months. Prior to joining Sable, he gained extensive experience in steel detailing and worked for several companies in the Philippines and Singapore. This experience has allowed him to bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role at Sable.

In his free time, Erwin enjoys reading and watching documentaries, and spending time with his son.

Christian-Kleb

Site manager

Christians experience in fabrication, interpreting drawings and dealing with customers has seen him progress through the company into an onsite riggers role, from here his ability to problem solve and offer valuable solutions in tricky situations have seen him promoted to sites manager where he is responsible for the overall QA and health and safety on all our sites and through his knowledge and experience helps all our site supervisors when required.

In his spare time Christian loves spending time cooking and with his family.

Will Seedhouse

Production Manager

Will has been a part of Sable since May 2021. Prior to joining the company, he had a background in education, having received a Bachelor of Education degree in 2015 and working as a teacher for 6 years, including two years in a leadership role. Seeking a new challenge, Will made the transition to Sable and brings with him valuable skills, including his organizational abilities, drive to deliver high-quality work on time, and critical thinking skills, honed through his experience in the classroom.

In his free time, Will is an avid fitness enthusiast, participating in CrossFit competitions to keep himself in top shape. This active lifestyle not only supports his overall health, but also enables him to keep up with the demands of his 3-year-old son.

Jono Bubb

Workshop Manager

Jono has been a valued member of the Sable Engineering team for the past two years. With 24 years of experience in the steel industry, Jono has a wide range of fabrication skills, including plate work, pipework, and structural fabrication/welding. He started as an apprentice and has worked his way up through various roles, including quality control and workshop supervision.

At Sable Engineering, Jono’s experience benefits the company by training future fabricators and helping current fabricators manage their workload more efficiently. His ability to bring his wealth of knowledge to the table, in addition to his hands-on experience, makes him a valuable asset to the company and its projects.

In his free time, Jono enjoys fishing, 4×4 driving, and camping.
